UPDATE – Arrest Made
On Thursday, April 16, police identified the suspect as a 16-year-old Fairfax-area teenager. He was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center where he was charged with abduction with intent to defile and object sexual penetration.
Woman Exercising was Sexually Assaulted
A 23-year-old Fairfax-area woman exercising in a community gym, in the 4000 block of Majestic Lane, was allegedly assaulted by a man on Monday, April 13 at 8:30 p.m. Police responded and an investigation determined a man wearing a mask entered the gym. He watched the woman for a few minutes before following her into the women’s locker room. Once inside, he allegedly sexually assaulted her and a struggle ensued when the victim resisted. She was able to fend off the suspect, escape to her residence, and call police. The victim received minor injuries and was transported to Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.
The suspect was described as black, approximately 18 to 20 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He wore a mask, dark, hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Police are continuing to investigate.
