Burke Teen Assaulted
A 19-year-old student was assaulted while walking home from school on Thursday, April 23 around 1 p.m. The woman was walking down Burke Manor Court near Silas Burke Park when she noticed she was being followed. About halfway through the park, she felt someone grab her by the shoulders. The suspect had a knife and threw her to the ground. Someone nearby apparently saw the assault and began screaming which may have caused the suspect to flee. There were no injuries.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, late teens, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, and 160 pounds. He wore a blue shirt with white stripes, jeans and white shoes.
