Commercial Robbery in the Falls Church Area;
Woman Charged
Mclean Police District – Police were called to the Betty Brite Cleaners store, located at 7395 Lee Highway, at 5:42 p.m. on Friday, April 24. An investigation determined a 45-year-old woman was working at the store when another woman entered and approached the counter. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled out the front door; the victim did not require medical attention.
Responding officers located the suspect nearby in an apartment complex. Ebony Annitra Kirkley, 30, of 7346 Lee Highway #304 in Falls Church, was taken into custody and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. She was charged with robbery and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
