Police Investigate Reported Sexual Assault
West Springfield Police District - On Saturday, May 2, police were called to a home in the Burke area for a sexual assault. The 24-year-old victim reported that on Monday, April 27 she took the CUE bus to University Drive and Chain Bridge Road. She exited the bus around 11:30 p.m. and began walking along a foot path near Chain Bridge Road. The victim noticed a man from the bus following her. The man tried to engage her in conversation then touched her inappropriately. He forced her off the path and allegedly sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled on foot and the woman walked home.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a blue and white striped shirt, black dress pants and black dress shoes.
