Student Charged with Weapons on School Property
Franconia Police District - A high school student was charged for allegedly having drugs and weapons inside his car on Thursday, May 14 at Edison High School, located at 5801 Franconia Road. The student had apparently left school grounds during the morning and was met by school personnel around 9:20 a.m. when he returned. School administrators started an investigation, which led to a search of the student’s car, a 2003 Nissan Sentra. They discovered drug paraphernalia, a knife and a gun inside. Brendan Anglin, 19, of 8929 Igoe Street in Lorton, was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with possession of a firearm on school property, possession of a weapon on school property and possession of marijuana. No students were put at risk or endangered at the time of this investigation.
