UPDATE – Arrest Made in Sexual Assault
On the afternoon of Friday, May 22 police were called to the 9500 block of Blake Lane. Officers were directed to a man who was being restrained by several other people. An investigation determined the man was responsible for the sexual assault of a child the day before.
Omar David Santiago, 30, of 9545 Blake Lane in Oakton, was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with aggravated sexual battery and abduction. Detectives believe there may be other victims who have not come forward. Anyone who has additional information is asked to contact police or Crime Solvers.

Sexual Assault in the Fairfax Area
Fair Oaks Police District - Police were called to an apartment in the 9500 block of Blake Lane around 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, for an assault. Officers determined a 10-year-old girl was playing outside with friends. She left the group of children and walked to her apartment. In the stairwell, she encountered a man sitting on the stairs. The man grabbed her from behind and touched her inappropriately. The victim’s friend saw the assault and ran to help her. The suspect fled down the stairs and was last seen running away from the building. The victim ran to her apartment and notified an adult. She did not require medical attention.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old. He was 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with long, black hair in a ponytail. He had a goatee and several gold teeth. He was wearing dark-colored pants and an orange shirt.
