UPDATE – Composite Sketch Released
Police are releasing a composite sketch of one suspect in the assault and robbery of a man on Friday, June 5 in a parking garage at Springfield Mall.

Robbery in the Springfield Area
Franconia Police District – A 28-year-old man was robbed on Friday, June 5 in the 6500 block of Springfield Mall. The man was walking from the Franconia-Springfield metro station to the parking garage located outside the Macy’s store around 5:35 p.m. He was grabbed by four males inside the lower level of the parking garage. The suspects assaulted the victim, took his wallet and fled. A passerby found the victim and called police.
The victim was transported to Inova Healthplex Franconia-Springfield where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries. The suspects could only be described as black, in their 20s.
