Police Investigate Reported Assault
Mason Police District - On Wednesday, June 17 around 6:40 p.m. a 27-year-old woman approached a patrol officer to report she was assaulted by a man on Monday, June 15. Officers determined the woman was walking on the 6000 block of Leesburg Pike between 11 p.m. and midnight. The victim was reportedly grabbed from behind by a man. He pulled her into a grassy area and the two struggled, causing both of them to fall to the ground.
The victim agreed to walk with the suspect to a different location; he took her to the 3300 block of Glenmore Drive. The suspect left the victim alone momentarily and she fled on foot. She did not require medical attention.
The suspect was described as white, in his 20s. He was about 5 feet 3 inches tall and 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a gray shirt and brown pants.
