Barricade Ends Peacefully
West Springfield Police District – On Tuesday, June 23 at 6:22 a.m., officers were called to the 6000 block of Ticonderoga Court in Burke for a possible shooting. A perimeter was established by responding officers. The helicopter unit, SWAT team, K-9 units, Negotiators team, Motor Squad and several other supporting officers responded to assist. A portion of Burke Road was closed during the incident.
By approximately 9:20 a.m., a 41-year-old man was convinced to walk out of the townhouse. He was peacefully taken to into custody for evaluation. There were no injuries.
