Adopt a Cat or Kitten in July
The Fairfax County Animal Shelter will host its 4th annual ExtravaCATza! in July offering to spay or neuter the first 100 cats and kittens adopted from the shelter during the month, at no charge.
In addition, the shelter is inviting several of its rescue organization partners to participate in the event. One rescue group will appear on each of the following weekend days to showcase their cats and kittens available for adoption:
Saturday, July 11
Sunday, July 12
Saturday, July 18
Sunday, July 19
Saturday, July 25
Adopters will be able to visit with shelter cats throughout the month of July and will be able to visit with both shelter cats, and rescue organization cats on the featured weekends. Adoption fees and processes vary by organization.
The shelter’s hours are Tuesday – Friday from Noon – 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The shelter will be open two Sundays in July, on July 12 and July 19 from Noon – 4 p.m.
