Police Investigate Attempted Abduction in the Oakton Area
Police are investigating a report of an attempted abduction that occurred on Sunday, July 5. Around 2:30 p.m. a 9-year-old girl was playing in the front yard of a home in the 10700 block of Dudley Court. A man allegedly grabbed the girl and attempted to drag her away from the yard. The suspect appeared to signal to a second suspect further down the street. The victim screamed and was able to break free. She ran to an adult for help. Both suspects fled.
The first suspect was described as black, 40 to 50 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He had a chubby build, a gray mustache, and was missing a tooth. He was wearing a dark blue, short-sleeved, collared shirt with a name tag, blue jeans and white sneakers. The second suspect was described as black, 20 to 35 years old. He was wearing a shirt similar to the first suspect and dark pants. The victim did not require medical attention.
