Police Investigate Bank Robbery

            Franconia Police District - A Suntrust Bank employee was robbed on Wednesday, July 15. Around 2:25 p.m. a woman entered the bank, located at 9400 Richmond Highway, and approached a 20-year-old woman at the counter. The suspect passed a note that implied a weapon and demanded money. The victim complied; the suspect left through the front door and fled in an older-model, tan-colored sedan.

            The suspect was described as black, in her 40s. She was wearing a purple shirt, blue jeans and a purple hat.
