New Wildlife Biologist Handles Fairfax Unleashed
Cats and dogs aren’t the only animals sharing our yards here in Fairfax County. The county is home to a large number of “wild” species and there are times when co-existence can be a challenge. Victoria Monroe, 27, of Fairfax was recently hired as wildlife biologist at the police department. In addition to overseeing the challenges of the countywide deer management program, Monroe serves as an invaluable resource to the pubic, as well as animal control officers, regarding the interface between the species.
