Woman Sexually Assaulted in Lincolnia Area

Mason Police District – A 19-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Friday, July 31 and police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect. The victim was walking in the area of Braddock Road and Little River Turnpike around 9 p.m. when a man standing at a bus stop called out to her. He asked her to get onto the bus; she complied. They exited near Braddock Road and Little River Turnpike and walked to Holmes Middle School, located at 6525 Montrose Street. The suspect and victim stopped in a secluded area outside the school around 10 p.m. where he reportedly touched the victim inappropriately and sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled on foot and the victim walked to find help.

She located a friend several minutes later in the 6500 block of Little River Turnpike and police were notified. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, in his 20s. He was about 5 feet 6 inches tall and had short, wavy, black hair and black eyes. He was heavy-set and had muscular arms. He wore a white T-shirt with pictures on the front, red shorts and tennis shoes.
