Carjacking in Lorton

            Franconia Police District – A 42-year-old Lorton-area woman was robbed at gunpoint around 5 a.m., Monday, August 10 while she was on her way to work. The victim had pulled her car over to the side of the road in the 7800 block of Lewis Chapel Road to pick up a co-worker when she was approached by two men. One man produced a gun, grabbed the driver, pulled her out of the car, while the other man took her purse.

            The men got into the vehicle and fled. There were no injuries.

            The vehicle is a green Mercury Cougar with Maryland tags. The suspects are described as black, between the ages of 18 and 22. One of the men wore his hair in dreadlocks.
