Combating Underage Drinking
As local university, high school and college classes resume, the Fairfax County Police Department, Premium Distributors and Heineken USA and local officials are introducing a new effort aimed at curbing youthful access to alcohol in Fairfax County. Officials will introduce a new tool, and accompanying education campaign, designed to assist restaurant and bar staff in limiting illegal access to alcohol. The community partnership provides retailers with a “Responsibility Toolkit”, which includes a small magnification tool that will help to identify fake identification cards.
