Public Help Sought for Missing Woman

            Mount Vernon Police District - Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman. Police consider her missing and endangered because of a medical condition. Anne Hamel, 43, left her home in the 8700 block of Millbrook Place on Friday, August 21 around 5 p.m. Hamel usually stays in close contact with her family but has not been heard from since she left home yesterday. She was driving a blue or turquoise four-door 1995 Pontiac with chrome hubcaps and a Virginia license plate. She is described as white about 5 feet 8 inches tall. She weighs about 150 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

            No photograph of Hamel is available at this time.
