Police Seek Suspects in Two Robberies
Franconia Police District – Police are investigating two robberies that occurred within minutes of each other on Sunday, September 6. In the first, a food delivery man delivered food to a home in the 9800 block of Hagel Circle. As the 34-year-old driver returned to his car around 8:43 p.m., two men approached from behind; one of them pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. The victim relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspects and they fled on foot.
Minutes later, as officers were searching the area, one officer noticed two possible suspects running away from a taxi cab. The officer gave chase but lost sight of them. An investigation revealed the taxi driver had also been robbed. Further investigation determined the suspects approached the taxi driver around 8:51 p.m. One of them brandished a handgun and demanded money. The victim, a 37-year-old man, complied and the suspects fled. Neither victim required medical attention.
Detectives believe the same suspects committed both robberies. They were described as black, between 19 and 20 years old, with brown eyes and black hair. The first was between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, 180 pounds and wore a black shirt, black pants and a ball cap or doo-rag on his head. The second suspect was between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and 150 to 210 pounds; he was also wearing a black shirt and black pants.
