Update: Two Arrests Made
Detectives have linked two suspects with allegedly robbing the Ace
Americas Cash Express store. Andualem Kusa, 26, of 5831 Oakview Garden
Drive #1431, Falls Church, was charged with robbery, use of a firearm in
the commission of a felony, and conspiracy to commit bank robbery.
Charles Kargbo, 24, of 3611 Paul Street, Alexandria, was charged with
conspiracy to commit bank robbery. Both Kusa and Kargbo were initially
arrested by Arlington County Police on September 4, on other
charges.
Check Cashing Store Robbed
Mason Police District – Anemployee of the Ace Americas Cash Express store, located at 5624 Columbia Pike, was robbed on Thursday, August 20. A man entered the store around 5:30 p.m., produced a handgun and gave the employee a note demanding money. The 28-year-old employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled on foot. There were no injuries.
The suspect was described as black, in his 30s, between 6 feet and 6
feet 2 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black
business suit.
