Attempted Abduction in the Vienna-Area

            Fair Oaks Police District – A 17-year-old girl was allegedly attacked by a man as she sat on the front steps of her apartment building in the 2500 block of Chain Bridge Road. The suspect walked into the building shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Friday, September 11. He re-emerged a short time later, walked up behind the girl, and wrapped his arms around her. The victim broke free and was not injured. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

            The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s to 30. He was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighed approximately 170 pounds. He had straight, medium length, dark hair. He was wearing shorts and a purple, polo-style shirt.

            The police helicopter and K-9 responded to the scene.
