Dog Injured; Two Arrested

            Mason Police District – Police were called to an apartment in the 6400 block of King Louis Drive for a domestic situation, shortly before 11 p.m. on Friday, September 11. During the course of the initial investigation, officers discovered that a six-month-old, Pit Bull/Mastiff mix was allegedly thrown out a second story window by the male participant in the dispute, breaking the dog’s front paw. The dog was taken into custody by Animal Control officers, and received appropriate medical attention.

            Terrence G. Merritt, 41 and Latoya Grant, 24, of 6469 King Louis Drive #204, were both charged with animal cruelty.
