Attempted Armed Robbery in the Fairfax Area
Mason Police District –A 22-year-old man was the victim of an attempted robbery on Saturday, September 26. The man parked his car near the 3900 block of Persimmon Drive around 3:15 a.m. and noticed a group of teens talking nearby. The victim got out of his car and began walking up the sidewalk. Two of the teens brandished handguns and demanded his personal property. The victim was assaulted by both suspects but was able to get away. The suspects fled on foot. Nothing was stolen. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The armed suspects were described as black, in their teens. One suspect was about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing around 190 pounds. He wore a blue sweatshirt. The second suspect wore a gray sweatshirt. Both suspects wore dark-colored bandanas over their faces.
