Arrest Made in Attempted Carjacking

            Fair Oaks Police District – Two people were victims of attempted robbery on Friday, September 25. Around 2 p.m., a 73-year-old woman was in her car near Government Center Parkway and Post Forest Drive, when a man attempted to forcibly take the victim’s car. The victim was able to fend the suspect off. The suspect fled on foot and approached a 47-year-old man in his car near Government Center Parkway and Federalist Way, and attempted to forcibly take his car. The second victim was also able to fend the suspect off. Neither victim required medical attention.

            The suspect fled in his own vehicle, a 2006 Mercury Milan, which was parked nearby. Several police units responded to the area and a patrol officer successfully stopped the suspect’s car at Government Center Parkway and Post Forest Drive.

            Justin Fresard, 26, of 11802 Federalist Way #34, was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with two counts of robbery and disregarding police commands.
