Credit Cards Stolen from Vehicles
West Springfield Police District – Within the last month, three victims had credit cards stolen out of their vehicles and fraudulently used at local stores. On Saturday, August 22, a 35-year-old woman had her vehicle broken into at Burke Lake Park, located at 7315 Ox Road. On Sunday, September 6, a 33-year-old man had his vehicle broken into at the South Run District Park, located at 7550 Reservation Drive. On Saturday, September 12, a 42-year-old woman also had her vehicle broken into at the South Run District Park.
In all three cases, the victims had personal property stolen out of their vehicles to include personal credit cards. The cards were used within a short time at several local stores to make fraudulent purchases. Patrol officers obtained pictures of the suspect from store surveillance cameras.
