Police Investigate Sexual Assault

            Mount Vernon District – A 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Tuesday, October 13. The victim was walking behind a building in the 7700 block of Richmond Highway around 8:35 a.m. when she heard someone running behind her. She turned around and a man grabbed her, touched her inappropriately and pulled on her clothing. The victim screamed, broke free from the suspect’s grip and fled.

            The suspect was described as Hispanic, in his late 20s. He was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 145 pounds, with short, black hair. He wore a multi-colored dark, hooded sweat shirt, a multi-colored baseball cap, blue jeans and mirrored sunglasses. The suspect was seen leaving the area on a mountain bike.
