Don’t Drive Like a Turkey
Sully Police District – The Route 28 Corridor historically has had a high number of crashes and traffic incidents such as aggressive driving or driver inattention. On average, 84,000 vehicles travel through the Route 28 Corridor during the course of a weekday.
Officers of the Sully Police District are using the month of November and the upcoming holidays to educate the public and enforce traffic laws along Route 28 to remind drivers everywhere to be more alert and courteous when driving.
Sign boards will also be posted along the corridor to encourage safe driving during the holiday season. Some of the intersections along Route 28 where enforcement will be increased include, but are not limited to:
- Braddock Road
- Interstate 66
- Machen Road
- Compton Road
The Fairfax County Police Department strives to reduce the number of crashes in the county by educating the public on safe driving and strictly enforcing traffic laws. Be safe this holiday season and drive responsibly and courteously.
