Update: Police Release Names
Police are now releasing the names of Richard C. Scott and Suzanne M. Scott as the individuals found inside the residence.
Police Investigate Two Deaths
West Springfield Police District – Police responded to a report of a shot person in the 8424 block of Springfield Oaks Drive on Monday, November 9 around 1 p.m. Officers located the bodies of a 66-year-old man and 52-year-old woman deceased inside a home with apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body.
The incident appears to be domestic in nature. Crime Scene and Homicide detectives continue to investigate. The Medical Examiner’s office will determine exact cause and manner of death. The victims’ names will be released once next of kin has been notified.
