Animal Shelter Extends December Hours with
Annual Home 4 the Holidays Adoption Campaign
The Fairfax County Animal Shelter will be offering a free spay or neuter for the first 100 cats or kittens adopted from the shelter during the month of December. This special offer is part of the shelter’s annual Home 4 the Holidays adoption celebration to help homeless animals make their way out of the shelter and into a loving, permanent home in time for the holidays.
The organization will also be extending their operating hours by opening its doors on three consecutive Sundays in December to offer the public additional opportunities to visit with animals available for adoption. The shelter will be open for special adoption hours on Sundays; Dec. 6, 13 and 20 from 12 to 4 p.m. in addition to regular operating hours throughout the week. Regular adoption hours are Tuesday – Friday, 12 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The shelter has wonderful cats and dogs available for adoption, in addition to a number of birds, small mammals and reptiles. To view animals available for adoption, visit http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/police/animalservices/ and click on adoption.
The shelter is located at 4500 West Ox Rd., Fairfax, VA 22030. For more information, contact the shelter at (703) 830-1100.
