Robbery in Burke Area

            West Springfield Police District – A 17-year-old boy was robbed on Thursday, January 21. The police were notified of the incident on January 24 after the victim reported it to a family member. The victim reported he was walking along a path in the 5700 block of Oak Leather Court between 5 and 6 p.m. when a man approached from behind. He reportedly grabbed him, held a gun to him and demanded money. The suspect took the victim’s cell phone and wallet and fled on foot toward Oak Leather Drive.

            The suspect was described as black, between 19 and 24 years old. He was about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
