UPDATE: Further Details on Striking Vehicle
McLean Police District – Detectives now have reason to believe that the striking vehicle is a Honda Accord, model years 1998 to 2002, and either silver or beige in color. The vehicle should be missing its driver-side front bumper and all or part of the air dam, which runs the width of the front of the vehicle.
Pedestrian Dies in Hit and Run Crash
McLean Police District – Police were called to a fatal pedestrian crash around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24 on Leesburg Pike at I-495. Police discovered a 49-year-old adult male deceased in the roadway with vehicle debris. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Crash Reconstruction detectives responded to the scene and have reason to believe that the striking vehicle may be a silver, late model Toyota Camry with extensive front end damage.
