Police Investigate Hit and Run Crash

Mason Police District – A pedestrian was struck while attempting to cross Arlington Boulevard between Patrick Henry Drive and East Manchester Street at around 6:10 a.m. Saturday, March 6. The pedestrian is a man in his late 20s or early 30s and police believe he had been in the crosswalk when he was struck. He was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he is in life-threatening condition.

Police continue to look for the striking vehicle, which was traveling in the eastbound lanes and did not stop at the scene. The vehicle most likely has front end damage and, possibly, broken headlights, windshield, and drivers side mirror.

Crash Reconstruction Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
