MEDIA ADVISORY

Sully LEADs New Roadway Safety Effort

Sully Police District – Sully officers are taking a LEAD in traffic safety and have started a new initiative; Let’s Eliminate Aggressive Driving. Throughout the month of March, officers are implementing a variety of enforcement techniques and strategies in an effort to curtail dangerous driving behaviors on and around the Sully District, and the Route 28 corridor. Police will focus their efforts during morning and evening heavily-commuted travel periods.

With warm weather and extended hours of daylight, aggressive driving often peaks with the advent of spring and spring break.

*** Members of news media are encouraged to ride along with Sully District police officers to take a first-hand look at the dangers posed by aggressive drivers. Contact the Public Information Office, 703-246-2253, to make arrangements.
