Suspect Robs Third Bank

Sully Police District – Police are investigating a third bank robbery believed to have been committed by the same suspect in less than two weeks. The latest robbery occurred on Tuesday, March 9 shortly after 5 p.m. A woman entered the BB&T Bank, at 5105 Westfields Boulevard in Centreville. She approached a teller and passed her a note, which implied that she had a weapon and demanded money. The bank employee complied, handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left the scene. She was last seen jogging towards Sequoia Farms Drive. There were no injuries.

Police believe that the woman may have committed similar robberies on February 26 and March 2, 2010.

The suspect was described as black, with very dark skin, around 5 feet 4 inches tall and heavyset. She may have weighed between 160 and 170 pounds. She wore black shirt and pants, a black and white scarf around her head and large sunglasses.
