UPDATE: Victim Identified in Homicide

Mount Vernon Police District – The victim in this homicide has been identified as Christian Perez, 16, of 8521 Silverdale Road in the Lorton area. The cause of death has been determined to be blunt force trauma to the head. Police have reason to believe this case to be gang related. The case remains under investigation.

Suspicious Death in Alexandria Area of Fairfax County

Mount Vernon Police District – Fairfax County police are on the scene of a suspicious death at Manor Drive and Osman Drive in the Alexandria section of the Mount Vernon police district. A male believed to be in his late teens is dead at the scene. More details will be provided as they become available.
