Driver Dies as Result of Crash

            Franconia Police District – A woman who was involved in a single-car crash on Friday, March 26 succumbed to her injuries on Sunday, March 28. Julie Anne Cahill, 34, of 11325 River Road in Lorton, was driving her 2005 Honda Civic around 10:57 a.m. in the 9900 block of Gunston Road and apparently lost control of the vehicle.

            She crossed over the double yellow line, ran off the roadway and struck a tree. Cahill was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital in life-threatening condition. On Sunday at 10:48 p.m., she was pronounced dead. Alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash.
