Protect Your Children from Predators
There are between 380 and 420 sex offenders living or working in Fairfax County monthly. Whether online, on the playground, or in the neighborhoods, children are vulnerable. With rapid advances in social technology, are you doing all you can to protect them? The Fairfax County Police Department is offering residents a rare opportunity to hear from the experts who investigate crimes against children.
The Fair Oaks District Station is sponsoring a Child Safety Symposium on Friday, April 9. The forum will offer powerful, eye-opening presentations by detectives from the Child Exploitation and Child Abuse Units and the Fair Oaks Station Crime Prevention Officer. The evening is geared toward adults and it is not recommended that attendees bring children. Learn more about the myths and realities of “stranger danger”, what you can do to investigate your child’s online persona, and other vital tips on keeping children safe.
When: Friday, April 9, 7-9 p.m.

Fair Oaks Church, 4601 West Ox Road
