Police Arrest Six in Home Invasion Robberies

West Springfield District – Police arrested six men in connection to two March home invasion robberies and have reason to believe there may be other robberies, and victims, that have gone unreported.

The extensive police investigation began on March 22 when four men were detained in Rockville, Maryland for a traffic violation. Upon investigation, police found drugs and evidence of other crimes in Fairfax County inside the vehicle. The suspects were charged with possession of marijuana by Rockville authorities and further investigation found that they were involved in at least two home invasion robberies that took place on March 22 and March 12 in Fairfax County.

On March 22 around 1:30 a.m., four men allegedly, brazenly barged in on a group of men who were playing cards in the 9400 block of Cloverdale Court in Burke. At least one of the suspects impersonated a police officer and wore a black T-shirt with the word “Police” written on it. The masked suspects brandished guns, took cash, jewelry and credit cards. They tied up the victims and fled.

The investigation also revealed that the suspects allegedly committed a similar crime in the Centreville area on March 12. Some of the victims were present at both robberies.

Four men were charged with two counts of robbery, two counts each of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, wearing a mask and abduction. Police identified these men as Kevin Guzman, 19 of Silver Spring, Md.; Dalio N. Guzman, 20, Silver Spring, Md.; Francis J. Voysest, 19, Greenbelt, Md.; Kadeem W. Haynes, 19, Rockville, Md.; Samie D. Neil, 20, of Silver Spring, Md.; was charged with one count of each of the same charges. Hung T. Nguyen, 31, of Germantown, Md. was charged with two counts of robbery. There are more charges pending further investigation of these cases.

Police believe that while the victims did not know the suspects, these robberies were targeted and that someone may have told the suspects where these groups were gathered. Police strongly believe that there are additional victims and that similar incidents may be connected to these crimes. They urge anyone with information to contact Crime Solvers by phone at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477, e-mail at www.fairfaxcrimesolvers.org or text “TIP187” plus your message to CRIMES/274637 or call Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131.
