Second Toddler Falls from Window
Mason Police District – Police responded to a second report of a toddler falling from a window within the past four days. Officers responded to an apartment in the 3600 block of Barcroft View Terrace in Falls Church around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13.
A two-year-old girl, playing with siblings, apparently fell from a third story window. She was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital for non life-threatening injuries. There were no charges placed in the case.
This incident occurred in the wake of a two-year-old boy who died Saturday, April 10 following injuries he suffered from a fall from a third story window in his Reston home. Police responded to a residence in the 11000 block of Heritage Oak Court around 5:30 p.m. The boy had apparently leaned against the window screen when he fell. He was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police responded to the scene, investigated the incident, and preliminarily determined that no charges will be placed.
