Police Co-Sponsor Underage/Binge Drinking Forum
In the wake of recent high-profile deaths and incidents involving dangerous binge drinking at universities across Virginia, Fairfax County Police and their community partners invite the public to take a hard look at the growing phenomena of binge/high risk drinking and its consequences. The forum will include viewing an award-winning, documentary “HAZE” about a college freshman who lost his life due to binge drinking.
Hear powerful presentations by a panel of experts, including; Chief of Police, Colonel David M. Rohrer, Commonwealth’s Attorney Raymond F. Morrogh, Inova Fairfax Hospital Trauma Chief, Dr. Margaret Griffen, George Mason University Alcohol and Drug Education Director, Mary Ann Sprouse, and a parent who lost their child following drinking at a college party.
In the midst of prom and graduation season, organizers are targeting graduating seniors and their parents, but anyone concerned about this issue is strongly encouraged to attend.
