UPDATE
Missing Adult Located

Whan G. Yi was found deceased in a wooded area near River Farm Drive and the George Washington Memorial Parkway on Monday, May 24 around 3 p.m. The 1994 Mazda MPV was located in a nearby parking lot. There appears to be no threat to public safety.

Missing/Endangered Adult

Franconia Police District – Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Whan G. Yi, a 58-year-old Korean man, last seen at his home in the 8000 block of Tanworth Court in Springfield on Sunday, May 23 around 7 a.m. Yi’s maroon 1994 Mazda MPV minivan, bearing Virginia license plates ZHB2275, is also missing. If encountered, Yi might appear to be disoriented or in distress. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 172 pounds. He has black and gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater vest and khaki pants.
