Fourth Sexual Assault in Annandale Area;
Composite Sketch Released

West Springfield Police District – An 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on Tuesday, June 29 at the Avant Apartment Complex in the 7900 block of Charles Thomson Lane. The victim was about to enter an apartment around 7:09 p.m. when a man ran up, grabbed her and touched her inappropriately. A family member heard the commotion and chased the suspect away.

He was seen running through the community toward Braddock Road Elementary School. He was described as Asian, between 18 and 20 years old. He was about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 200 pounds, had straight, shoulder-length black hair, glasses and wore dark clothing.

Detectives believe the suspect is responsible for three other sexually-motivated assaults in the area. A composite sketch has been released.
