Teacher Charged for Mistreating Children
Sully Police District - A Fairfax County school teacher has been charged for allegedly mistreating children in her care. In early July, police were contacted by Child Protective Services and the public schools after an allegation of mistreatment was made against a school employee. A police investigation determined that between May and July a special education teacher reportedly physically assaulted and mistreated two boys, ages 4 and 5, who were assigned to her class. These alleged incidents occurred during the school day at Deer Park Elementary School in the Centreville area. The children did not require medical treatment.
Detectives obtained warrants and on the evening of Sunday, August 1, Jennah Christine Billeter, 33, of 11832 Federalist Way # 2 in Fairfax, turned herself in at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. She was charged with one count of misdemeanor simple assault and two counts of felony cruelty to children.
