Man Dies in Fatal Crash

            Reston Police District –Police responded to the area of Monroe Street and Cedar Glen Lane for a report of a single vehicle crash around 7:51 p.m. on Thursday, September 23. An investigation determined the driver, Ahmad Z. Mirza, 42, of 13242 Middleton Farm Lane in Oak Hill, was headed southbound on Monroe Street in a Mercedes-Benz SL600 convertible and attempted to pass another vehicle. He lost control of his car and ran off the roadway. His vehicle flipped over and Mirza, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

            Speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
