UPDATE: Shooting is Self Inflicted
Mount Vernon Police District – Police have determined that the man involved in this incident had self-inflicted wounds and then drove to the parking lot at the Huntington Metro. Police do not suspect criminal activity in this incident.
Police Investigate Shooting in Huntington Area
Mount Vernon Police District – Police responded to a report of an incident on the parking lot at the Huntington Metro, located at 2501 Huntington Avenue, on Monday, October 4 around 10:24 p.m. Police were called by a woman who was concerned for a family member who failed to show up after agreeing to meet at the Metro.
Police located a 32 year-old man in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. He was transported to Fairfax Hospital initially with life-threatening injuries. The victim’s condition has since been changed to non-life threatening injuries.
