Bank Robbery in McLean Area

            McLean Police District – A man entered the Wachovia Bank at 1300 Chain Bridge Road, around 9:13 a.m. and robbed two tellers, a 42-year-old woman and a 63-year-old woman, on Wednesday, November 24. The suspect displayed a gun, demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

            The suspect was described as black, in his mid to late 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and between 150 and 170 pounds. He was wearing an “elderly white man” costume mask and dark clothing. Robbery detectives believe this suspect may be linked to prior robberies in the county. No one was injured.
