Police Release Composite Sketches of
Homicide Suspects
Sully Police District – Police have released sketches and additional details of the two suspects in the May 17 homicide on Compton Road.
The older man, with a darker complexion, is in his late 20’s to mid 30’s and is believed to be the gunman. He speaks with a distinct raspy voice and is possibly a heavy smoker. The younger suspect is between 20 and 25 years old and called the older one “Slim.”
The white Toyota truck seen near the scene of the crime was further described as having dark tinted windows.

Victim Identified; Police Search for Truck
Sully Police District – Police identified the victim of the May 17 Compton Road homicide as Jose Ramiro Rosales Cardona, 39 of 119 Courtney Drive in Manassas. He worked as a handyman for the Centreville family. Cardona was married with two children.
Police continue to investigate the incident and are following up leads. They are exploring all facets of the case to determine whether or not this was a targeted crime.
Detectives would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen an older model, white, Toyota pick up truck in the vicinity of Bay Valley Lane between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Monday, May 17. A witness told police he saw someone jump into the bed of a pick up truck and pull a tarp over himself between 10:50 and 10:55 a.m. The truck then fled eastbound on Compton Road towards Union Mill Road.

Man Killed In Centreville Area
Sully Police District – Police are investigating an apparent homicide that occurred at a home in the 14200 block of Compton Road, on Monday, May 17.
Police responded to an urgent call for assistance around 10:45 a.m. Family members who live in the home, along with an acquaintance, became involved in an altercation with two male intruders in the garage area of the home. During this scuffle, the acquaintance was shot in the upper body and died on scene. The two suspects then fled the home on foot, through a wooded area adjacent to the property.
There was a significant police response to the scene and surrounding area, including; helicopter, K-9 and bloodhound, patrol officers, and detectives. A perimeter was established and a search began.
The suspects were described as black, around 5 feet 10 inches tall, between 20 and 30 years old and wore dark clothing. One of the men was light-skinned and had a beard and mustache. The other was darker and had a thin goatee.
The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
