Police Place Charges Related to Shooting
Reston Police District – Investigation has led police to charge three individuals in this case. Jose Santos Ponce Zuniga, 31, has been charged with murder. Amilcar Noel Urbina Zelaya, 29, and Saul Pacheco Mejia, 45 were both charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine. All three are believed to have fled the country.

Police Identify Victim in Shooting
Reston Police District – Police have identified the victim in this case as Colvin Morris, 34, of 7967 Richmond Highway. Police are confident that this incident was not random and that there continues to be no threat to the safety of the public.
Police Investigate Shooting in Reston Area
Reston Police District – Police responded to the 1500 block of Cameron Crescent Drive on Monday, December 12 around 4:15 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival police discovered an adult male with trauma to the upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are investigating reports that three suspects were involved. While the exact nature of the relationship between the suspects and the victim is still under investigation, police do not believe that there is a threat to the public’s safety.
This is the ninth homicide in Fairfax County for 2011.
