Fairfax County Animal Shelter Brings Service to South County

The Fairfax County Animal Shelter will host a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic for pets on Sunday, April 22 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Mount Vernon RECenter located at 2017 Belle View Rd., Alexandria, VA 22307.

The cost of the rabies vaccine is $12 per pet. Vaccines will be provided for dogs and cats only. To receive a three-year vaccination, pet owners should bring proof of their pet’s current rabies vaccination. All other pets will receive a rabies vaccine valid for one year. No rabies tags will be issued at the clinic; however, 2012 dog licenses will be sold at the clinic for an additional $10 per dog.

All dogs must be on leash and cats must be in carriers. Cash and checks only will be accepted at the clinic.
