            Mount Vernon Police District – Police have determined that Ashlie O’Brien is in the custody of a family member. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been placed at this time.


Girl Missing from Mount Vernon Area

                Mount Vernon Police District - Police are investigating a report of a 12-year-old girl who was reported missing Friday, April 27. Ashlie Mae O’Brien told guardians that she was going to a friend’s home when she left the 8000 block of Oak Leaf Drive around 4 p.m. She never arrived.

Detectives have followed up numerous leads since that evening but have not located O’Brien and are asking for the public’s help in locating her. There are a serious set of complex, confidential custodial issues involved in this case.

            Police consider O’Brien to be missing and endangered.

            She is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 130 pounds, blond hair, blue eyes, and has braces on her teeth. She was last seen wearing a red and white jacket and yellow athletic shorts.
