UPDATE: Photo Released in Abduction/Robbery
Franconia Police District: Police have released a photo of a suspect vehicle in this case. The photo was taken at Commerce Street Plaza of a vehicle possibly following the victim’s vehicle during the crime.

Abduction/Robbery in Springfield
Franconia Police District: Police are investigating the report of an abduction and robbery that occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, in the 6100 block of Cumberland Avenue.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, was coming out of his home when he was approached by three men. One of the men displayed a handgun and forced the victim into his own vehicle, a red, 1998 Honda, four-door. All three suspects got into the vehicle as well. They drove the victim to two banks and forced him to withdraw an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was then driven to an unknown location and forced into the trunk of his car; then driven a short distance. One of the suspects opened the trunk, displayed a knife and cut the victim slightly; the injury was non life-threatening. He was instructed to remain in the trunk until the suspects made their escape. When the victim got out of the trunk, he was in the area of Piedmont Place, near Braddock Road.
The suspects were all described as black males between 18 and 25 years of age. All were wearing hooded jackets. Two had masks on and the third covered his face with a cloth.
